My friend is being blessed with a new STUDIO
My friend, Thania has opened her new Spinning Studio in town. She has been in this business for almost 12 years now. She started off with a small studio at her parents house and has grown ever since. She has so much passion for what she is doing and everybody just loves her. I have been teaching spinning classes with her for the last 8 years. I have not taken pictures of the other side,which she uses for Pilate's, they are busy installing some equipment. I wish her all the luck and happiness in this new place. I must also mention that she has done 5 Iron Man challenges in a row,a friend to be proud of.
Hope you are having a super day!

Sneaking back in...the start of new horizons for my daughter.
It has been a long time. But I am back, with lots of time on my hands.
After the Big move that is. My daughter is leaving for the city,to start her studies as First Year. She will be studying Accounting Science, since she wants to become a Charted Accountant.
She got 4 distinctions in her final exams and we are awaiting 3 re-marks. We are so very proud of her,she showed so much commitment during her schoolyears and we know that she will continue the hard work and dedication. She is already exited for the new life she is going to start,mom on the other hand...so much to get use to. We already have 99% of her things together,and a empty wallet after all of this.lol!!
I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years,I hope to post here more often.

Matric farewell photos
We had a Matric farewell two week ago! Megan's farewell. I cannot believe that all of her school years are coming to a end now. Within two weeks the final exams are starting. Then it is holidays. And then....she will be going to university. It is very hard to swallow. I am not sure how to handle all of this,but YES, my only little girl is going away! But anyhow,here are a few pictures of her and her partner. Hope you like it!

Time for a {photoshoot}
So my blogging has been like allover the place lately,but hey, I am still well and kicking. A while ago a friend of mine asked to take some photos of Megan, she came all the way from Pretoria, we went on a road trip to take these, there are quite a
few,will share some more...later:)
We are busy with matric farewell dressmaking,found a very good designer, out of town and we are positive the outcome will be stunning:) First fit...this coming weekend!
I am busy with a Magic tiles quilt, and two crocheted blankets in progress...
I am back at spinning...FULL FORCE!!! Must admit that I was a bit lazy lately.
Well then, since it is wayyyy past my bedtime...you have a good one:)

Quilt Carry Bag
Hallo Everybody:)
Just a quick share...my Quilt Carry Bag. We made it in our weekly class, it is a pattern from Heather Weldron.
I am not really a big fan of stars, for me it is very much precision working,but I managed to make all 5.
I used the very vibrant colours in the ShweShwe range. So the bag is designed to store a quilt,but I decided to use it as my knitting/crochet bag, it is packed with wool and needles!!lol!
Thanks for looking:)

Her name is...POPPY{1st handmade doll}
Hallo Everybody!
No excuses for not blogging,but here I am...and with a final product! My first handmade doll. I got the pattern from a Handmade and Quilting magazine. She took me a few weeks, but I am happy with the final result. Here we are experiencing some cold weather, with a serious cold front hitting us this weekend. Just more reason to stay indoors and do something crafty.

90% done.
We started this year at the quilting class by doing smaller projects. I made this ring binder cover. It is very quick and easy. I absolutely adore the fabric,which is from STUDIO E FABRICS. What I must still do is attach a huge button in the middle of my flower, do some stitching around my flower and hand stitch my binding. Then it is done! I ordered some new fabric, can't wait for it to come and I will show:)
