Ok, lastly, BUT this one is IMPORTANT!!
I am starting a Card Trading.
This means, we want to cut out the e-mail process, yes, we want those cards, feel the paper, the texture,cherish keepsakes from our friends, to our friends.
What I need:
You need to e-mail me your Birthday,Postal address and favorite colour.
I will then compile the list of all the "subscribers" and forward it to everybody!
When you receive a card, you need to post it(without the address showing, thanks Carol)
I also think we should do a card challenge once a month, each will get a turn to choose the challenge.

Hallo, everybody.
I went to the postbox yesterday and was over the moon about this one envelope,inside.
At Pages in Time I have a few friends, one named Jennifer Cassista.
I started a discussion, trading Christmas cards, I got a few addresses, so I swapped them, this is the one I got!!

Love this envelope,full of stamps, they are soooo cute!! Lots of them,hey??

And the card, handmade and aaaaall the way from Canada!!
I am so excited!!
I sent off 3 cards, hope they reach their destination!!

I enjoyed the Process. . .

I finally did my layout for the Class For a Cause,by Iris.
I enjoyed every minute and it was actually such a quick page.
I struggled with the lighting when I took the pictures, so sorry about that. . .

Yesterday, Today,Tomorrow. . .to my bloggy friends

Toooo Long!! So Sorry!!

Ok, I have been a real baaad blogger, lately, I am so sorry, I have been enjoying all of your blogs,though.
The past week or two was just a bit hectic and on a low at the same time, but here I am!!
Today, we took some photos in the garden, of the two girls in a tub(with their costumes,ok!)

I emptied a whole bottle of foam bath in the tub and they also had some bubble fun!
Never too big for some bubbles,hey??

Eventually,they got out and took the dog for a bath too, unfortunately I could not take pictures,she was out of the water too quickly.

So what is happening in the home of the Van Rooyen's??

Within a week or so, it will be my Birthday!! No plans yet, cannot decide whether I want to have a party or not??

Next week the school will be handing out the results of the last exams,cannot wait to see the marks!

Megan is now wearing a "MOONBOOT" still struggling with her foot.

Still two weeks, then the spinning studio will be closing for the holidays.

Tomorrow it is my best friend Thania's birthday, we are taking her out for lunch.

We are planning to have our house painted this coming week, only the inside and Megan's room.

Want to green in the living room, but I am a bit scared that it might me a too drastic change, something like a olive green.

A little bit of shabby chic.

Hallo everybody,
Hope you are all doing good and that life is treating you well.
I did this layout last night, I used the new range of Kaisercraft.
I had this photo taken at a studio in Parys, called KIKI'S.
She has the cutest little studio, all filled up with oldies, dresses,suitcases, feathers,etc.
I also do my layouts very metric, straight cutting,so I decided to do a bit of tearing, aging and all of that.
I also included some Enmarc di-cuts,Prima flowers and bling.

Otherwise, we are all fine, Megan is resting her foot, she has a stress fracture and is suppose to rest for another 4 weeks, she was very sad and disappointed when the doctor told her that, that means all her practice,she feels everything she has put in,is down the drain, very hard-headed this one. She always gives 110% in whatever she does and I think she took it too far,she is keeping fit by swimming and some spinning now.

As i commented on some of your blogs, I still have not started my Christmas Shopping! Hmm, maybe this weekend. I signed up for a peweter class this Friday, have never tried it,though, have you??

My mom and dad are leaving on Saturday on holiday,starting in East Londen, ending in Gordons Bay. Will be very quiet here,we are living right next to each other, so use to her popping in during the day.

Also glad that school is closing, need some calmness around here. . .

For the LOVE of Fashion!!

Can anybody relate to the latest craze in fashion??
Painting your toenails each a different colour?LOL!!
Ok, then talking about the colours, they are the weirdest looking colours,
they come in the pinkest of pink, metallic purple, Greeeen, yes like the grass, who would paint their toes green?
No,I must admit,these toes of dearest Megan, don't look too bad at all,this is the
latest ritual in our home, painting toenails and I also had my turn this weekend,
I had to sit and relax and was not allowed a word, I got the Greeeen and Orange!LOL!!

My husband refused to go to the shops with me, but I made a promise to leave it for the weekend, i kept my promise.LOL!!

So which one are YOU, the more subtle one or the adventurous one, painting it all in COLOUR for the LOVE of Fashion??

Today. . .

I realised that I am Very tired, body is aching. . .I need a rest;)

I realised that i need to get to the hairdresser. . .hair is getting flat on top, I hate that(going at 10)

I realised that some situations are more difficult that I thought they would be(me digging into the past) not going so well:(

I realised that my little hands actually looks nice without me chewing on their nails. . .you did not know that about me hey?? yes I chew my nails.

I also come to realise that my household is completely falling apart because of this computer and the stash in my scrap room, BUT that I decided that I would rather AGAIN dig into that today.LOL!!

I realised that these cyber friends of mine are actually so amazing and that they and the few on my one hand is ALL i need. Why be pretentious?? Just be yourself.

Hmm, in about 45 min I must , yes MUST go present a spinning class with this aching body of mine, Thania is going to Joburg, fetching entries for the 94.7 cycle race.

By now I can actually feel already that it is going to be on HOT summers day.

Shaaaaayne!!! I need some cupcakes, great energy boost!!LOL!!

Helen, your package in the post will be a GREAT uplift today,oohhh hope it is there;)

I met a new friend today, Tina, from Australia, will add her on today, so you can go visit toooo!!

Oh my gosh!! the biggest thing I came to realise is that my toenails are still painted piiiiink and greeeen from the weekend, Megan did it and made me promise to leave it for the weekend, really need to take it off.

A bit of this and that. . .

Hallo girlfriends,

I am in my scrap room, while typing this post, no, not busy scrapping, busy finding some space to scrap, honestly, I am now getting irritated with myself, not putting things away immediately,my husband wanted to phone the police this afternoon, thought we had a break-in.LOL!! Takes me about 2 hours to organize the room in such a state that i can actually do something.

I want to make a few Christmas cards, bit on a low with the ideas, but I have some lovely paper to play with.

This weekend on our local radio station, Jacaranda 94.7 I won a competition, they featured Celine Dion as their artist for the weekend, you could choose a song, then they phone you and you can leave a message,but that is not all, I also got her latest cd!! Yay!! She is my number one female artist of all times:)

I bought my little dragon a zen fountain this weekend, he just absolutely LOVES it, he sits on the rocks in the water for about half an hour at the time, I think he likes the sound of the running water. Too cute.

Today, as I was cleaning my house, I had lots of things going through my mind. . .

I thought about some of our bloggy friends that are having some difficulties right now, hope that you are all feeling better:) Things will turn out for the best.

I thought of Christmas, the shopping that goes along with it, I don't know what to get everybody, I know my dad would love a new fishing rod.
Megan wants a new I-pod, oh goodie, the poor bank balance:(
DH is the difficult one, he buys what he wants when he needs it, himself, so what can I get him??
We cannot go on the Aramis-train agaaaain!!

I thought about the new music that I need for my spinning-classes, I get so tired of my music, too quickly and when you buy a cd, usually you can only use 2 or 3 of the songs.

I thought of my husband's newly found son, have not heard a word from him for a while now??
I keep on e-mailing him, but hear nothing:(

Shame,my dog is very droopy today, eyes,ears, tail, everything is hanging.

Megan needs to go to the physiotherapist tomorrow, she has a nagging foot.
I need to get my material for the Iris page, cannot find something nice, maybe it is just me, so use to buying paper, not material, but I will do that in the week.

Did this layout last night.

I used the photos I took of Megan on our weekend in Parys.

Used some PiggyTales paper, the Cinderella collection, bit of Prima blooms, the first ones. Covered a blank chipboard swirl, printed my poem on Bazzill.

And added a Kaisercraft bling flower. Just a basic layout, but I loved the poem and have been wanting to use it for a while now.

This is a poem, written by Dr. Kent and Mother Theresa had this poem on her wall, they said that she knew a good poem when she saw it and that she liked it very much.

I was inspired by. . .

Hallo everybody,
I recently bought the Craftwise, they featured a layout of the popular Retha van Heerden.
She was the owner of Scraptifity, but are busy with some new ventures. By the way, she had a GREAT shop, with a coffee shop, where hubby can wait, while you hit the target of the credit card.LOL!!
Ok, she used a similar photo, just more close-up, therefore, I made a few changes, to keep the focus on my photo.
I named my page ALWAYS, and then added the words dream, believe and grow and right at the edge, laugh.
The challenge of this page is to leave your chipboard blank, which I never do, but this time I did.
Oops, can you see that I went a bit skew there at the top, I hate mistakes like that, but the glue was stuck already.
I took this picture over the weekend at the place where we stayed in Parys,
she was actually on her way to the real spot, where I wanted to take a shot, but this one worked for me. I am trying my best with these singles, not that bad, after all.:)
The paper are from my archives, EK SUCCSESS, few years back.
Also mixed the bling with a bit of vintage buttons.

This hardly ever happens. . .
A picture of me and hubby, he doesn't like photos taken of him, but Megan insisted.
We were in Parys this weekend, had lots of fun:)

Then Hubby and the girls, yes, you can say that we have 2 girls, Felisha is one of us.

Megan and me, Felisha had the chance on a photo shoot this weekend, we went aaaaall the way, we took about 250 photos!!!

At last. . . . a Layout

At last. . . a layout, nothing spectacular, just a quickie, but I had to get started, again. I struggled with the light with this photo, so it is not the best shot, sorry.
Used some We R Memory Keepers paper, had these huge wooden letters, forever, covered it with some Bazzill, added some rub-ons, tied some ribbon and added a little charm.
Felisha's mother took these photo's a while ago, these two girls, they are growing up so fast. Anyways, made a tag on the right hand side, added some blings in the middle of the flowers.
Ok, I am off to the shower, just from spinning, then, I will be making myself some cuppachino, it is rainy, so nice and cool, enough reason to have a cuppa.
Then. . . I am going to start another page.
We are planning a trip to Parys again this weekend, got accommodation at Vaal De Sioleh, lovely place.
